The is an excellent book. Even as a social media consultant myself, I learned some valuable information from this book.
Where so many “leaders” in social media focus on acquiring numbers of fans and followers, Cendrine focuses on what really matters and which, ultimately, will bring you success in your social media efforts. She explains how it isn’t about the numbers – it’s about the people.
The book is broken down in a step-by-step, easy to understand format, that even people new to social media involvement will understand. She starts with the most important question for any marketing effort – who is your target audience? She then continues to explain how to find and develop that audience. She believes that sincere interaction is the key to developing trust and that building trust leads to great endorsements and clients. Her own success is proof of her approach.
The resources included in the book are extremely valuable. Ms. Marrouat is exceptional in her willingness to share resources from other leaders in the industry. It is obvious that her purpose is to help the reader, not feed her ego. Social media is all about being “social”, and Cendrine obviously cares for the fans and followers she cultivates. This is the true spirit of social media – one that many people forget. It isn’t about the numbers. It’s is all about having the RIGHT people, really getting involved with them, developing trust, and offering help. Cendrine Marrouat does an exceptional job at teaching how to achieve those ends.
I highly recommend this book!
