#10 Publish a podcast
It seems as if fewer and fewer people have time to actually sit down and read anything these days. Why not make it easier for your readers and publish your posts as audio files? You can write your entries and record and upload them as audio files. Podcasts can even provide you with new revenue streams as you earn sponsorships.
#11 Curate content from around the web
Part of being an influencer and thought leader is sharing excellent content your readers might have missed from around the web. By virtue of recognizing useful posts from other bloggers and sharing them with your readers, your audience will see you as a credible, unbiased resource.
If you spend a lot of time reading other people’s blogs and researching certain topics, then you have probably formed some pretty steady opinions about them. Share these blogs in your own entry and discuss the pros and cons of each. Be fair in your criticism and generous in your compliments, and you are sure to receive some grateful and loyal readers.
Similarly, you can recommend companies, brands, and websites you have had great experiences with, thereby helping your readers find quality products and services.
Take the questions you receive regularly via email, and answer them all in a public post. Do this once a month and you will create very useful resources.
#14 Publish industry statistics
Part of being an industry leader is compiling data and presenting it to your readers in a complete, yet concise post.
#15 Request feedback from your readers
Sometimes the best way to improve in any area is to ask for feedback. Look to your audience to discover what they want to read. Learn where your strengths and weaknesses are so that you can improve your blog. Besides, people appreciate knowing that their thoughts and feelings matter.
#16 Definitions or glossary
Create a page where you define industry terms. A definitions page can also serve as great link bait in an outreach campaign.
#17 Discuss current events
Sometimes the best way to earn traffic is to discuss a topic that is currently trending, such as current events and news. While posts like these are not evergreen and may not bring in traffic months from now, they do let your readers know that your blog is relevant and up-to-date with industry trends and changes.
Consistently delivering fresh, useful content can be a challenge for even the most professional and creative bloggers. Fortunately, there are tons of resources available to give you that spark of inspiration you need for a great blog post idea.
